Biography Carol DeBolt Eikenbery was born in Rockford, Ohio and now lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is a graduate of Fairborn High School in Fairborn, Ohio and the University of Michigan School of Art and Design. She works intuitively in acrylic and watercolor in both representative and non-objective styles, freely and experimentally interpreting her feelings until a piece expresses what she wants. Much of her work, including several national and regional prizewinners are mixed media and abstract creations. She also does impressionistic watercolors and more realistic land and seascapes based on photographs taken in Europe and the Caribbean. She has had articles published in American Artist and International Artist magazines. Her work has been purchased for many private and corporate collections. Her work may be seen at the Artist's Gallery and the Shore Gallery and Design in Virginia Beach and at the Destinations Gallery in South Boston, Virginia. In 2009 she was enshrined into the Fairborn Schools Hall of Honor. |
